Second Year Studio

Located in Columbus Mississippi, our site was between a pedestrian bridge and roadway bridge with a steep landscape to build a recreational boat rental store. The building has a fixed pivot point where all the floors meet and for them to become parralell with either bridge, as well with a curved wall on the roadway side to rebound sound away as well as mimic the site slope, which is also translated on the roof. Each level contains their own purpose: viewing the site, eating and relaxing, and taking your boat or kayak out onto the water. This area is known for the rise of water elevation.
